A collision involving a motor yacht and a sailing boat occurred in the sea area off Nikiana, east of Lefkada, with no injuries reported.
According to the Hellenic Coast Guard, the Italian-flagged motor yacht was carrying four foreign nationals, while three foreign nationals were aboard the US-flagged sailing boat.
Coast Guard vessel responded
A Coast Guard vessel was sent to the area following the collision.
No marine pollution was reported as a result of the incident.
The circumstances that led to the collision remain unclear. The competent Port Authority is expected to conduct a preliminary investigation into the incident.
