Rain expected in several regions over the three-day weekend – Weather forecast

Weak low pressure and an unstable air mass continue to influence the region.

Today, the weather will be generally mostly clear. However, cloud development during the midday and afternoon hours is expected to bring isolated showers or thunderstorms over mountainous areas, south of the Troodos mountain range, and possibly inland regions. Winds will be mainly northeasterly to southeasterly, light to moderate at 3 to 4 Beaufort. The sea will be slight to a little rough. Temperatures will rise to around 31°C inland, 28°C along the southern and northern coasts, 26°C along the remaining coastal areas, and 22°C in the higher mountains.

Tonight, periods of increased low cloud are expected, mainly over western and southern areas. During the early morning hours, patches of mist or fog are likely to form locally, especially in southeastern parts of the island. Winds will be mainly northwesterly to northeasterly, light at 3 Beaufort. The sea will become calm to slight. Temperatures will fall to around 15°C inland, 17°C along the coast, and 11°C in the higher mountains.

On Sunday and Monday, cloud development after midday is expected to bring isolated showers and thunderstorms, mainly in mountainous and inland areas.

By Tuesday, weather conditions are expected to become mostly clear. Temperatures will gradually increase through Tuesday, reaching levels close to the seasonal average.
