A person was rescued after a vehicle fell into a ditch on the Apliki-Palechori road in Nicosia district on Sunday morning.
The Fire Service was called into action at around 7:10am following a report that a person was trapped inside a motor vehicle that had fallen into a ditch on the road.
Firefighters respond to crash
Fire stations from Akropoli, including the “Sergeant Spyros Ttantis” station, and Palechori Rural Station responded to the scene with a rescue team, a vehicle and a fire engine.
One person was extricated from the vehicle and placed on a rescue stretcher.
Hospital transfer
The rescued person was then taken by ambulance to the Accident and Emergency Department of Nicosia General Hospital for medical attention.
