Summer rain was recorded in the island’s mountainous areas on Thursday afternoon, amid a yellow weather warning.
Heavy rainfall was reported in Platres at around 2:30 pm, with images published by Kitasweather showing the conditions in the area.
The showers come as the island remains under a yellow warning, with isolated thunderstorms possible in the mountains.
The weather phenomenon is typical of the summer season, when localised afternoon showers can develop in higher elevations.
