Vehicle catches fire after crash in Larnaca- two people rescued

The Fire Service was called to action early Monday morning after a vehicle caught fire following a road accident on the Dromolaxia-Larnaca Airport road.

According to Fire Service spokesperson Andreas Kettis, the incident occurred at around 7:00 a.m., prompting a response from the Larnaca fire stations with one fire engine and a rescue vehicle. The fire broke out after a collision between two cars on the Dromolaxia-Larnaca Airport road.

Two injured individuals were freed before the arrival of the Fire Service and were transported by ambulance to the Accident and Emergency Department of Larnaca General Hospital.

Firefighters extinguished the blaze that had engulfed one of the private vehicles.
