Moving vehicle catches fire in Nicosia

A vehicle fire broke out on Thursday morning (30 April) on Prodromou Avenue in Nicosia, shortly after 08:30.

The vehicle caught fire while in motion under circumstances that remain under investigation. The driver stopped the car in the road after noticing the flames.

Firefighters respond quickly

Fire crews rushed to the scene to extinguish the blaze. Firefighters brought the vehicle fire under control after it caused brief disruption in the area.

Authorities continue to examine what caused the fire.

No injuries reported

Police confirmed that no one suffered any injuries during the incident.

Investigators continue their inquiries to determine the exact cause of the fire and whether a technical fault led to the incident.
