A serious incident in Limassol placed authorities on alert on Tuesday morning after an alleged shooting in the Zakaki area of Limassol.
According to initial information, a police officer allegedly shot and injured his wife before later being found dead.
Emergency services rushed to the scene, while the injured woman was transported by ambulance to Limassol General Hospital, where she is receiving treatment and remains intubated.
Police investigation underway
Members of Limassol CID arrived at the scene and launched investigations into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
Authorities have not yet released further details as investigations continue.

The area remains cordoned off as police continue examinations and collect evidence linked to the case.
