Politics, institutions and society come together in Nicosia for a dialogue with a European and international dimension
Cyprus Forum 2026 puts the political, economic and social challenges facing Cyprus and Europe today up for discussion. The event will take place from 28–30 September at The Landmark Nicosia, bringing together political and institutional representatives, academics, business leaders, diplomats and civil society representatives from Cyprus and abroad.
Built around the themes of democracy, transparency and sustainable development, this year’s edition opens the conversation on issues affecting the functioning of institutions, the economy and society. Democratic resilience, the economy and competitiveness, security, geopolitics, education, technology, disinformation, youth participation and housing are among the key themes.
The programme features over 220 speakers and 40 sessions, panel discussions and side events, reflecting the breadth of topics up for discussion. These include economic growth and employment, technology and innovation, the environment, institutional resilience and international developments.
Cyprus Forum 2026 will be attended, among others, by President of the Republic Nikos Christodoulides, President of the House of Representatives Annita Demetriou, Minister of Justice and Public Order Costas Fytiris, Minister of Education, Sport and Youth Athena Michaelidou, Deputy Minister of Research, Innovation and Digital Policy Nicodemos Damianou, Deputy Minister of Migration and International Protection Nicholas A. Ioannides, and Governor of the Central Bank of Cyprus Christodoulos Patsalides.
International participation includes representatives of European institutions, diplomats and experts, among them European Commissioner for Fisheries and Oceans Costas Kadis and Themis Christophidou, Director-General for Regional and Urban Policy at the European Commission. The official speaker list confirms their participation, as well as that of a number of ambassadors, academics, and representatives of European and international organisations.
Through its individual sessions, Cyprus Forum seeks to bring together different approaches to public policy issues and strengthen the exchange of proposals between institutions, experts and society.
