Seasonal low pressure is affecting the region, with mainly clear skies and temperatures reaching 39C inland on Monday, according to the Department of Meteorology.
The Cyprus weather forecast also points to highs of 33C on the west coast, around 36C along the remaining coastal areas and 29C in the higher mountains.
Mainly clear skies on Monday
The weather will be mainly clear throughout the day.
Winds will initially blow mainly from the northeast to southeast, light to moderate at force 3 to 4 Beaufort. By late afternoon, they will shift mainly to southwesterly to northwesterly, remaining at the same strength.
The sea will be calm to slight.
Temperatures to fall to 19C in the mountains
Monday night will remain mainly clear, with winds blowing mainly from the northwest to northeast, light to moderate at force 3 to 4 Beaufort.
The sea will be slight.
Temperatures will fall to 22C inland, around 23C along the coast and 19C in the higher mountains.
Slight temperature drop expected Tuesday
The Cyprus weather forecast for Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday remains mainly clear, although locally increased cloud cover is expected at times.
Temperatures will fall slightly on Tuesday but will remain above the seasonal average.
No significant change in temperature is expected on Wednesday or Thursday.
