Over 2 kg of cocaine mailed from Greece – 28-year-old arrested

As part of ongoing efforts to detect and seize illegal drugs, the Cyprus Anti-Narcotics Unit (YKAN), in collaboration with Greek authorities and the Customs Department, intercepted two packages sent from abroad.

Cocaine hidden in packages

The packages contained carefully concealed nylon packets holding a total of approximately 2.16 kilograms of cocaine.

Arrest made in Limassol

Following a coordinated operation by YKAN in Limassol, a 28-year-old suspect was arrested in connection with the first package and has been taken into custody.

Investigation continues

Examinations and investigations are ongoing by the Limassol branch of YKAN to trace the source and distribution network of the drugs.
