Date:

The Fire Service in the Larnaca district responded to two incidents on Wednesday night due to heavy rainfall – one involving the towing of a vehicle from a flooded road and the other the pumping out of water from a flooded basement.

In a post on the platform “X” on Thursday, Fire Service Spokesperson Andreas Kettis stated, “Following heavy rainfall last night in the Larnaca district, we responded to two calls.”

The first call concerned “the towing of a vehicle with passengers that became immobilised on a flooded road. The second call involved a flooded basement with a low water level,” he noted.
