An amazing father at Pallouriotissa high school goes viral

Date:

Since yesterday, a post from Pallouriotissa High School has been making the rounds online.

The post describes a father’s compassionate act after he responded to his daughter’s call for help with cleaning the school windows.

The full post reads as follows:

“A Father with a capital ‘F’ and a daughter who loves him deeply.

A student recently overheard us talking about the school’s high windows and the need to get them cleaned. ‘Teacher, teacher, my father can help! He knows how to clean windows, it’s his job!’

Does he have a company? ‘No, no teacher, he’s an employee, but I know he can definitely help.’ We agreed that he would come to the school to give us a quote. His daughter brought him proudly after school and accompanied him because he doesn’t speak Greek well.

We showed him everywhere – here, there, and up high. ‘When do you need it done?’ he asked, speaking decent but broken Greek. Soon, we have alumni visiting, and we want the school to look clean and nice. ‘I’ll come on Monday after work.’ Great! How much do you think it will cost?

‘No madam, I don’t want money. This is my daughter’s school. I’ll do it for the school.’

I’m not sure if you understand just how moving his gesture was. An act of greatness. He came to Cyprus years ago and made this new place their home. His daughter is a student in the Practical Field – and excels in everything. Honestly everything (you know what we mean). We thank him wholeheartedly!” the post concludes.
