The discussion between the President of the Republic and Turkish Cypriot leader Ersin Tatar during their meeting yesterday focused on the opening of crossing points.
Nikos Christodoulides presented Ersin Tatar with a package of proposals concerning crossing points and other related ideas.

Specifically, the proposals include the Athienou-Pyroi crossing point, the Kokkina area, and Mia Milia.
In response, Ersin Tatar raised the issue of opening a crossing point at Louroujina.
At the same time, he clarified that the opening of the Kokkina crossing point is not up for discussion and expressed his opposition to the Athienou-Pyroi crossing point.
The discussion has now moved to the negotiators’ level, with any developments expected to emerge during the next meeting between the two leaders.
