The funeral will take place on Tuesday, August 25, as the family of the four-year-old prepares to say its final farewell.
The funeral service will be held at 5pm at the Church of Agios Savvas in Ypsonas.
Donations requested instead of wreaths
The family has asked mourners to make donations in memory of little Marios instead of sending wreaths.
The money raised will be used to support two fellow citizens who are undergoing chemotherapy.
“The presence and love you show us will be our greatest comfort,” the family said in a message.
“Our little angel, you flew to heaven too soon, but you will remain forever in our hearts and souls. May you rest in peace, our little one.”
The funeral will be held at 5pm on Tuesday at Agios Savvas Church in Ypsonas.
