A 21-year-old foreign national has died after reportedly diving into the sea from a pier near Limassol’s old port on Monday afternoon.
According to information, the young man was at the area swimming with a relative when he entered the water.
Pulled from the sea unconscious
The 21-year-old reportedly lost his life while attempting to get out of the water.
He was pulled from the sea unconscious and taken to Limassol General Hospital, where his death was confirmed.
A post-mortem examination is expected to establish the exact cause of death.
