US war with Iran costs at least $11.3 billion in first six days

Date:

US military officials have briefed a closed-door Senate committee on the escalating costs of the conflict with Iran. According to sources present at the briefing, the first six days of operations have already cost the United States at least $11.3 billion.

Senate subcommittee informed

Members of the Senate Defense Appropriations Subcommittee received the briefing. Senator Chris Coons, the top Democrat on the subcommittee, confirmed that the $11.3 billion estimate is “roughly accurate,” noting that the figure likely excludes additional military support and troop deployments.

Potentially higher costs

Senator Coons added that the total current operational costs are expected to be significantly higher than the reported figure, underscoring the financial burden of the ongoing conflict.

The briefing highlights the immediate economic impact of military action and the potential for escalating expenses as operations continue.
