Two minors in serious condition after scooter accident in Limassol

Two minors are hospitalised in serious condition in Limassol following a road incident in which they were involved yesterday.

The incident concerns a 15-year-old boy and a 14-year-old girl who, at around 7:20 p.m. yesterday, were riding a personal electric scooter on Georgiou A’ Avenue in Limassol. Under circumstances that are currently under investigation, the 15-year-old, who was operating the scooter, lost control, causing both teenagers to fall to the ground and sustain injuries.

The 15-year-old was taken to Limassol General Hospital, where he was diagnosed with a subarachnoid haemorrhage and was admitted for treatment. The 14-year-old was taken to a private hospital in Limassol, where she was also admitted, having suffered a traumatic brain injury and a skull fracture. The condition of both minors is described by their doctors as serious.

The Limassol Traffic Police are investigating the circumstances of the incident.
