Teknofest in the occupied areas makes Turkish front pages

Date:

Turkish front pages today highlight the Teknofest technology festival, which is being held for the first time in the occupied areas, with the participation of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, who is also expected to attend the inauguration of the new “presidential palace” tomorrow.

The pro-government Turkish newspaper Akşam, under the headline “National pride in the TRNC”, writes that “the world’s largest aerospace and technology festival is being held in the TRNC,” referring to the so-called state.

The pro-government newspaper Türkiye, with the headline “In Cyprus, the only path is the Turkish argument”, claims that “the possibility of a federation on the island has been taken off the table, and the two-state solution promoted by Ankara is gaining ground.” It adds that “the technology festival has taken over the TRNC,” highlighting that Akinci drones, Hürkuş aircraft, ATAK helicopters, and air shows were breathtaking.

The also pro-government newspaper Hürriyet, under the headline “Teknofest excitement begins in the TRNC”, reports that the festival’s president, Selçuk Bayraktar, speaking at the opening ceremony yesterday at the old illegal airport in occupied Tymbou, said: “We are here with hope and faith in the heart of the Blue Homeland.”

The pro-government Sabah, with the headline “Teknofest excitement in the TRNC”, writes that “the TRNC opened its doors to the world’s largest aerospace and technology festival.”
