Road closures in Limassol ahead of marathon

Road closures for Saturday 5km races

On Saturday, 21 March 2026, the Limassol Marathon Corporate and Kids 5km kicks off at 9 a.m. from the Epichosi area, with over 10,000 runners expected. Participants will run east along 28th October Avenue to the junction with Griva Digeni Street near Crowne Plaza Hotel, then return west to the starting point. Both lanes will be in use, and police officers and municipal wardens will manage traffic.

Authorities will close the coastal road from the junction of Spyrou Araouzou and Anexartisias Streets to the traffic lights at 28th October – Griva Digeni Street (Crowne Plaza Hotel) from 8 a.m. to 12 noon.

Road closures for Sunday half marathon

On Sunday, 22 March 2026, the Limassol Half Marathon starts at 7:15 a.m., with over 5,000 runners. The race begins at Epichosi and heads west along the coastal road to Fr. Roosevelt, passes the New Port roundabout, continues along the parallel road to Lady’s Mile roundabout, and goes past My Mall to the Fr. Roosevelt roundabout. The course continues west to Asomatos village, reaches the Water Park entrance, then returns along the same route to finish at Epichosi.

Officials will close the coastal front from 6:15 a.m. to 2 p.m., reopening roads gradually as runners pass.

Drivers must follow traffic signs, obey police instructions, and use alternative routes where possible.
