Paphos-Limassol motorway crash leaves driver seriously injured

A serious crash occurred shortly after midnight on the Paphos–Limassol motorway, according to police.

Driver lost control and hit guardrail

Police said that, under circumstances still under investigation, the driver lost control of his vehicle, causing it to crash into a guardrail and come to a halt.

Fire Service carried out rescue operation

Due to the severity of the impact, the driver became trapped inside the vehicle. Members of the Fire Service were called to the scene and carried out an operation to free him.

Injuries described as serious

The driver sustained injuries to his legs and was taken to a private hospital in Limassol, where he was admitted for treatment. His condition is described as serious.

Traffic Police in Limassol are continuing investigations into the crash.
