In January 2022, hours after the fatal Lykavittou Street in Kolonaki apartment fire, the son shaped the narrative, blaming a tragic mishap. Proto Thema then highlighted the prime property valued near €750,000, photos published on real estate sites promoting sale with elegant antique furnishings and high aesthetic value. This detail passed unnoticed amid the accident focus but gains weight with revelations of the son’s push to sell against her wishes.
Under new light, it points to financial pressures.
Arson evidence emerges
Reexamination reports confirm her body and surroundings were soaked in large quantities of flammable liquid, incompatible with random cigarette ignition, but indicate deliberate organized act. Fire was officially no accident, overturning initial claims.
Son’s persistent “cigarette accident” insistence is now scrutinized as a potential misdirection amid economic stakes.
