Makarios Drousiotis and “Sandy” face prosecution on 101 charges

The Makarios Drousiotis case has moved forward after the Attorney General filed criminal proceedings on Friday following a review of evidence submitted by police on 30 June 2026.

According to an announcement by the Law Office of the Republic, the decision was taken after examining the evidential material forwarded by the police.

101 charges included

According to media reports, the two individuals facing prosecution are Makarios Drousiotis and a person known as “Sandy”.

The indictment includes a total of 101 charges, according to the Law Office.

The charges relate to offences including the preparation of a forged document, circulation of a forged document, publication of false news, and harassment.

Case to be heard by Nicosia Criminal Court

The Makarios Drousiotis case will be heard before the Nicosia Criminal Court.

Further details regarding the proceedings are expected to emerge during the court process.
