Major reshuffle in Cyprus Police: Key transfers and new appointments announced

The upcoming Monday will see sweeping transfers within the Cyprus Police, signed by Deputy Chief Panikos Stavrou, involving prominent figures in key positions.

Notably, the police spokesperson, Christos Andreou, is set to take on the role of Deputy Commander of Administration and Operations for the Drug Law Enforcement Unit at Police Headquarters. Kyriaki Lambrianidou will replace him as head of the Communications, Public Relations, and Social Responsibility Department.

Ioannis Giorkatzis, previously head of the Nicosia Crime Investigation Department (CID), will now lead the Information Management and Analysis Service (IMAS), with George Andreou taking over as head of Nicosia CID.

Yiannakis Sotiriadis will now solely hold the role of Assistant Police Chief for Administration in Limassol, as he has been relieved of his operational duties. Marinos Vasileiou will step into the position of Assistant Operations Director for Limassol, while also maintaining his role overseeing Urban and Suburban Areas in Limassol.

Andreas Lambrianou, who previously led IMAS, will now serve as Director of the Police Chief’s Office under Themistos Arnaoutis and will also manage human resources.
