Liopetri: Gunshot wound confirmed as cause of death of charred man

The body found in Liopetri on 11 May has been identified as 77-year-old Antonis Spetsiotis from Xylofagou, according to a new update from the British Bases Police.

Authorities confirmed that the case involves a fatal gunshot wound, with investigators continuing to examine the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Cause of death confirmed as gunshot wound

According to the announcement, the cause of death was a traumatic injury caused by a firearm.

Police said that the circumstances leading to the death of the 77-year-old remain under active investigation.

The discovery in Liopetri initially prompted a full-scale inquiry, which is now focused on establishing how the fatal shooting occurred and whether criminal activity was involved.
