Larnaca District Court evacuated following bomb threat call

A bomb threat at the Larnaca District Court, which was subsequently evacuated, was reported to the police this morning.

According to Spyros Chrysostomou, spokesperson for the Larnaca Police Directorate, “At around 9 a.m., a call was received by the police regarding a bomb at the Larnaca District Court, and the relevant protocol was activated.”

He added that “the court building has been evacuated, and explosives experts along with members of the Larnaca Criminal Investigation Department have arrived at the scene to conduct examinations, while the established protocol for such incidents will be followed.”

It is noted that among the cases being heard was that of the Swedish fugitive.
