The 58-year-old man who confessed to killing Alexandros Antoniou in Konnia, Paphos district, has been committed to stand trial for premeditated murder before the Criminal Assize Court.
The court set the trial start date for 29 January 2026.
The prosecution requested continued detention until the trial begins. Defence counsel Ilias Stefanou raised no objection, but the court reserved its final decision on remand for 10 December 2025.
Until then, the accused remains in custody.
