The Police received a complaint from a journalist yesterday afternoon. The journalist reported that after republishing on her news website a social media post made by a political figure, she received a threatening message from the son of the said political figure, demanding the removal of the post from the site.
The Police have taken statements and collected evidence. The 35-year-old man was summoned to the Larnaca CID, where he was questioned in writing, then charged and released pending a later summons. The case is being investigated by the CID.
