Parliamentary process for motion of no-confidence to be concluded on Friday
The three-day parliamentary process for the no-confidence motion against the government submitted by main opposition PASOK-KINAL, SYRIZA, New Left, Plefsi Eleftherias and nine independent MPs will be concluded on Friday evening, with the statements of Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, the political leaders of the opposition and a roll-call vote that will be held in the plenary at 21:00.
In order to be approved, the motion of no confidence must receive an absolute majority of the total number of deputies, or 151 votes in favour. Otherwise, it is rejected.
When a motion of no confidence is rejected, another one cannot be submitted before six months have passed from the date of submission of the previous one, unless it is signed by an absolute majority of the total number of deputies.
