Authorities have proceeded with the culling of all animals in units found positive in Livadia, as part of efforts to contain the spread of foot-and-mouth disease.

The latest case involved an illegal cattle holding in the Larnaca district, where all livestock were euthanised in line with health protocols.

No new cases reported

According to the Ministry of Agriculture, no new cases of foot-and-mouth disease have been recorded so far.

Officials confirmed that all culling operations in infected livestock units have now been completed in both Nicosia and Larnaca.

Measures continue across districts

The Ministry stressed that strict measures remain in place to prevent further spread of foot-and-mouth disease, with monitoring and inspections ongoing across affected areas.

Authorities continue to urge compliance with regulations, particularly regarding unlicensed animal holdings.
