Fire breaks out at former family home of Androulla Vassiliou

A fire broke out in the early hours of the morning, at approximately 5:56 a.m., on the second floor of a house in central Paphos, prompting an emergency response from the Fire Service.

The property, located in the Mousalla area near the Metropolitan Church of Saint Theodoros, has reportedly been abandoned for a considerable period of time.

According to information available, the building is the former family home of Androulla Vassiliou.

The Fire Service said that no one was inside the property when the fire started. Firefighters responded with two fire engines and managed to bring the blaze under control, preventing it from spreading to nearby buildings.

The cause of the fire is being investigated by the relevant authorities.
