€1.7m in grants for Cypriot businesses to join international fairs

Applications have opened for the business grants scheme supporting Cypriot companies taking part in international trade fairs where Cyprus will be represented with a national pavilion.

The Ministry of Energy, Commerce and Industry announced the De Minimis Grant Scheme on Monday, with a €1.7 million budget for 2027.

The scheme aims to strengthen the international presence of Cypriot businesses, help them enter foreign markets and boost exports.

Eligible applicants include companies involved in:

  • Manufacturing industrial and agricultural products
  • Trading industrial and agricultural products
  • Related service sectors

Four international trade fairs

The business grants scheme covers participation in four international exhibitions:

  • FRUIT LOGISTICA, Berlin, Germany, 3–5 February 2027 – Fresh fruit and vegetables
  • PROWEIN, Düsseldorf, Germany, 7–9 March 2027 – Wine and spirits
  • GULFOOD, Dubai, United Arab Emirates, 15–19 March 2027 – Food and beverages
  • ANUGA, Cologne, Germany, 9–13 October 2027 – Food and beverages

The Ministry said it does not guarantee participation in the exhibitions if an adequate number of applications is not received or if the required budget is not approved.

Applications open until 18 September

Businesses can submit applications from 17 August until 18 September 2026.

Applications can be submitted:

  • In person
  • By registered post
  • Through a private courier company

Applications must be sent to the Product Trade Promotion Section of the Ministry of Energy, Commerce and Industry at 6 Andrea Araouzos, 1421 Nicosia.

Applications submitted after Friday, 18 September will be considered late and will not be examined.
