Police are investigating a robbery after a 29-year-old food delivery driver was attacked and robbed while carrying out an order in the capital.
The incident took place on Monday evening at around 6pm, when the courier arrived at a specific street in Nicosia to deliver a food order.
Hooded suspects attacked driver
According to the complainant, two hooded individuals approached him shortly after he reached the location.
The suspects allegedly attacked the delivery driver, struck him and stole his mobile phone, motorcycle, and a small bag containing money before fleeing the scene in an unknown direction.
The violent incident is being treated as a robbery, with police continuing their investigations.
Police investigation ongoing
The Nicosia Criminal Investigation Department (CID) is handling the case and is gathering evidence to identify the perpetrators.
No arrests have been announced so far.
