A beach incident is being investigated by police after a 48-year-old woman reported that an unknown man allegedly approached her and behaved indecently.
According to police, the woman was walking along Dasoudi beach in Limassol when the alleged incident occurred.
She subsequently filed a complaint with police, and the case is being investigated by Germasogeia Police Station.
Woman says man approached another beachgoer
According to a social media post about the incident, it took place after sunset while other people were still in the area.
The woman said she initially saw the man approach another woman, who managed to avoid him and move away.
The man then allegedly turned his attention towards the 48-year-old.
“He moved quickly towards me”
According to the complaint, the man sat nearby and watched the woman.
When she got up to collect her belongings and leave, he allegedly moved quickly towards her while exposing his genitals.
The woman said she began speaking loudly to him and warned that she would call for help.
The man then allegedly changed direction and walked away.
Face could not be clearly identified
The woman said the limited lighting meant she was unable to clearly see the man’s face.
She was, however, able to recall details about his silhouette and body type.
Describing the distress caused by the incident, she said that her legs were shaking by the time she reached her car.
Police are continuing their investigation.
