An unstable air mass is affecting the region.
Today’s weather will be mainly clear at first, however clouds developing after midday are expected to bring isolated showers or thunderstorms, mainly in mountainous areas.
Winds will blow mainly southwesterly to northwesterly, weak to moderate at 3 to 4 Beaufort, while the sea will be slight to a little rough.
Temperatures will rise to 31C inland, around 28C on the southern and eastern coasts, around 26C on the remaining coastal areas and 20C in the higher mountains.
Clear conditions overnight
Tonight, the weather will remain mostly clear, although increased low cloud may appear at intervals in western areas.
Winds will blow mainly northwesterly to northeasterly, weak at 3 Beaufort, while the sea will be calm to slight.
Temperatures will drop to 18C inland and along the coast, and to 12C in the higher mountains.
Rain and storms expected through weekend
On Thursday, locally increased cloud in the afternoon is expected to bring local showers and isolated thunderstorms, mainly in mountainous areas, inland and in eastern regions.
On Friday, increased cloud in the southeast may bring isolated rain, while on Saturday isolated showers or thunderstorms are expected mainly in mountainous and inland areas after midday.
Temperatures are not expected to change significantly over the next three days and will remain close to seasonal averages.
