Cyprus sees higher voter turnout in elections by 10 am

Voter turnout in Cyprus parliamentary elections reached 12.8% by 10 am on Sunday, according to an update from the General Returning Officer.

General Returning Officer Elikkos Elia said turnout was up by 2% compared with the 2021 parliamentary elections.

By 10 am, voter turnout across Cyprus stood at 12.8%. Compared with the same time during the 2021 parliamentary elections, turnout increased by 2.5 percentage points.

However, compared with the 2024 elections, turnout was down by 1.1 percentage points.

Turnout figures by district

Authorities also released voter turnout figures for each electoral district, alongside comparisons with previous elections.

Further updates are expected throughout the day as polling stations remain open across the island.
