The contracts for the Upgrading of Evagorou Avenue project were signed on Wednesday, 19 March 2025, by the Mayor of Nicosia, Charalambos Prountzos, and the Technical Director of KEDRIS Construction LTD, Konstantia Charalambous.
The works on Evagorou Avenue, located in the Commercial Triangle of Makariou – Stasikratous – Evagorou in Nicosia, will extend from the Evagorou – Stasinou – Omirou junction to the Evagorou – Themistokli Dervi – Diagorou junction.
The project focuses on revamping the sidewalks of Evagorou Avenue and includes the following main works:
- Demolition of existing elements (sidewalks, concrete surfaces, drainage pits, ducts, etc.) and general excavation
- Construction of a stormwater drainage system
- Sidewalk construction
- Installation of a new asphalt road surface layer
- Adjustments at project boundaries and along adjacent properties, including rainwater drainage works for the properties
- Upgrading of the water supply network
- Upgrading and installation of new telecommunications networks
- Traffic regulation review and improvement of road signage, including the installation of pavement bollards
The works are expected to begin in early April and will last for eight months. The total cost of the project amounts to €385,903.79 plus VAT.
