Prince Jacques and Princess Gabriella, accompanied by Prince Albert II and Princess Charlene, lit up the impressive 18-metre Christmas tree adorned with five giant baubles inspired by the “magical moments of Christmas” in Casino Square, Monte Carlo.

The event marked the official start of the Christmas season in Monaco, offering attendees a festive atmosphere that beautifully blended tradition and modernity to create an enchanting experience filled with holiday cheer and dazzling decorations.

Camille Gottlieb and Mélanie-Antoinette de Massy also participated in the lighting ceremony.

Princess Charlene looked elegant in a grey wool Emilia Wickstead coat, paired with diamond earrings, black leather gloves, and tall boots. Speaking to the local press, she shared her excitement for the holiday season.

“Christmas in Monte Carlo is magical. It’s a wonderful tradition that brings the community together, and I love being part of it,” she said, according to The South African.

Iconic buildings across the principality, along with its unique market that combines luxury and sophistication, are now dressed in their festive best. Visitors to the Christmas Village can immerse themselves in a sweet wonderland featuring 23 stalls offering delightful treats and 24 charming cottages. They can also enjoy the Grand Ferris Wheel or the new Christmas trail. The atmosphere at Port Hercule will be buzzing with positive energy, featuring stilt walkers, dancers, and street performers, alongside creative workshops for children, carousels, theatrical performances, and magical musical evenings.
