Authorities seek handover of Turkish man who abducted his son

A request has been formally transmitted to the Turkish Cypriot side for the return of the father involved in a child abduction case concerning a baby taken from his British national mother in Limassol.

According to Cyprus News Agency (CNA), the request was forwarded on Wednesday through the bicommunal office operating under the Technical Committee on Crime and Criminality.

Arrest warrant issued in Cyprus child abduction case

Authorities confirmed that an arrest warrant has been issued by the Cyprus Police against the father, who is accused of abducting his infant son from the mother in Limassol.

The case continues to be investigated by law enforcement authorities in the Republic of Cyprus.

Case reported in Turkish Cypriot media

Reports note that the incident was also carried by Turkish Cypriot media, although no additional details were provided from the occupied areas.

The child abduction case remains under close scrutiny as authorities continue efforts to locate and secure the return of the suspect.
