Cyprus extends tax relief for investors in innovative SMEs until June 2027

Date:

Cyprus has approved an extension of tax relief for individuals investing in innovative small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) until 30 June 2027, subject to the completion of the legislative process.

The amended measure was approved by Commissioner for State Aid Control Stella Michaelidou and entered into force on 15 October 2026, when the relevant decision was published in the Official Gazette of the Republic of Cyprus.

Extension depends on parliamentary approval

According to an announcement by the Office of the Commissioner for State Aid Control, the extension of the tax relief will apply until 30 June 2027 only if the relevant bill is approved by the House of Representatives.

The corresponding law must also be published in the Official Gazette before the extension can take effect under the stated conditions.

The measure is intended to support private investment in innovative SMEs by offering tax relief to individuals who invest in eligible businesses.
