RAF to test sirens at Akrotiri on Wednesday

Date:

The Royal Air Force (RAF) will carry out a scheduled siren test at its Akrotiri base on Wednesday, 21 October.

The sirens may be heard both inside the base and in the wider Akrotiri area, according to the announcement.

The test aims to ensure the siren system is fully operational and functioning correctly.

The RAF stressed that the exercise is planned and is not linked to any threat or incident. Residents do not need to take any action, and there is no cause for concern.
