A five-month-old baby was found without vital signs at a family home in Limassol on Tuesday evening.
According to police, the baby was sleeping at the family home when, at around 8 pm, the mother discovered that the infant was unresponsive.
The baby was taken to a private clinic, where doctors on duty pronounced the child dead.
No external injuries found
Initial examinations found no external injuries on the baby.
The exact cause of death is expected to be established through a post-mortem examination, which will be scheduled at a later stage.
Police are investigating the case and carrying out examinations into the circumstances surrounding the baby’s death.
