An 82-year-old woman from Limassol has died after sustaining serious injuries in a road crash earlier this month.
Thessaloniki Constantinidi had been receiving treatment in critical condition at a private hospital in Limassol following the collision on 4 August 2026.
Crash under investigation
According to police, the collision occurred on Xirokampou Street in Limassol.
A car driven by a 79-year-old man was travelling along the road with Constantinidi in the passenger seat and an 84-year-old woman in the back seat.
Under circumstances that remain under investigation, the driver lost control of the vehicle and it crashed into a metal railing belonging to a nearby property.
All three occupants were taken to a private hospital in Limassol.
Constantinidi was admitted to the intensive care unit in critical condition, while the other two occupants were admitted to the orthopaedic and surgical departments for treatment.
Limassol Traffic Police are continuing their investigation into the circumstances of the crash.
