Karpathos in the top 10 holiday destinations for 2025

Date:

Karpathos has captured the attention of international media as one of the world’s fastest-emerging travel destinations for 2025. CEO Today, a publication catering to 250,000 company executives, included Karpathos in its list of the top 10 global destinations offering the joy of exploration and true escape, placing it in second position.

According to CEO Today Magazine, “With its stunning beaches and dramatic mountainous landscape exuding raw beauty, Karpathos has managed to escape the clutches of mass tourism, preserving its charm as an untouched paradise. Its traditional music festivals and extraordinary gastronomy stand out.”

The recognition follows coordinated efforts by the municipality to engage with journalists and editors from prominent international media outlets such as The Sun, The Guardian, and CEO Today. These representatives expressed keen interest in the island’s range of alternative activities and its recent gastronomic festival organised by the local council.

Similarly, the Polish travel website travel2.pl has published three features inviting Greece enthusiasts to “visit the picturesque villages of Karpathos, the mythical Olympus, savour makarounes (traditional pasta), and immerse themselves in the traditions of this authentic Dodecanese destination.”

In the same vein, Scandinavia’s largest online travel magazine, Freedom Travel, has promoted Karpathos through videos and a series of articles showcasing exotic beaches, nature activities, sea excursions, tours of scenic settlements, and gastronomic delights.

In September, the Municipality of Karpathos organised press trips from Poland and Sweden to ensure early promotion for the upcoming season. “Our goal is to develop strategic partnerships and highlight different aspects of the destination to encourage visits before and after the peak season,” stated the Deputy Mayor for Tourism of Karpathos, Tasos Milios.
