New traffic arrangements are coming into effect as the road leading to the Arrivals exit area at Larnaca Airport reopens to the public on Friday at 3 pm.
The reopening aims to improve the smooth movement of vehicles serving passengers at the airport.
Private vehicles will once again be allowed to use the road leading to the Arrivals area for passenger pick-ups.
Taxi access remains restricted
Police clarified that taxis will not be permitted to use the road leading to the Arrivals area.
Taxi services for passenger pick-up will instead operate exclusively from designated areas located west of the airport buildings, near the bus waiting areas.
Passengers leaving the airport by taxi will be served through the Departures road.
Drivers urged to follow new arrangements
Authorities are asking drivers to follow road signs and instructions from police officers, avoid unnecessary stopping or parking, and use designated parking areas to ensure safe and efficient passenger movement.
Police officers will be present in the area to manage traffic, assist the public and carry out checks to ensure compliance with the new arrangements.
The cooperation of all drivers is considered essential for the safe movement of vehicles and the smooth operation of Larnaca Airport.
