Cyprus is emerging as one of the biggest summer hotspots for 2026, with increasing numbers of Israeli celebrities choosing the island for their holidays, according to an Israeli media report.
A report by Israel Hayom highlights how images of Cyprus’ turquoise waters, infinity pools and luxury resorts have flooded social media, presenting the island as an ideal destination located less than an hour’s flight from Tel Aviv.
Gal Gadot chooses Paphos getaway
Hollywood actress Gal Gadot visited Cyprus with friends, including Rotem Sela, Liron Weizman and Yael Goldman-Peper.
The group stayed at the luxury Anassa resort in the Latchi area of Paphos.
The Israeli publication described the hotel as one of Cyprus’ leading resorts, featuring a private beach, luxury spa facilities and high-end services.


Family holiday in Ayia Napa
Meanwhile, Israeli television presenter and journalist Maayan Adam selected Ayia Napa for her family holiday.
She stayed at Mare Ayia Napa, a beachfront resort mainly aimed at families, offering water parks, multiple swimming pools and direct access to the beach.

Paphos flights increase by 134%
The Israeli report said the choices of celebrities reflect a wider trend in the Israeli travel market.
Citing figures from the Israel Airports Authority, it reported that flights to Paphos increased by around 134% compared with the same period last year, making the destination one of the fastest-growing choices for Israeli travellers.
The report identified Cyprus’ main advantages as its short flight time, wide range of accommodation options – from luxury resorts to all-inclusive hotels – Blue Flag beaches, gastronomy and competitive prices compared with other European destinations.
It concluded that, based on both celebrity choices and rising travel demand, Cyprus is becoming the leading summer destination for Israelis in 2026.
