Zakaki tragedy: New evidence reveals years of psychological abuse

Date:

New details have emerged in the Zakaki shooting case, as the son-in-law of a 46-year-old woman critically injured after being shot at close range by her husband publicly disputed reports suggesting financial disputes as the motive behind the attack.

In a public statement, he said that claims about financial problems or third parties do not reflect reality and urged the public to stop speculating about the circumstances of the incident.

He stressed that the family is currently focused entirely on the woman’s recovery, describing her condition as critical as she continues to fight for her life in the hospital.

Allegations of psychological abuse

The relative alleged that the victim had experienced years of psychological abuse, fear and control within the household, stating that the reality inside the home was very different from the public image.

He added that only the family knows what was truly happening and asked for respect for their privacy during this difficult time.

Appeal for privacy and respect

The statement called on the public to avoid speculation and allow authorities to complete their investigation without interference.

He also thanked those who have shown support, saying the family draws strength from the solidarity and compassion expressed in recent days.
