New traffic cameras to begin operating on Tuesday

Date:

Traffic cameras on Ellados Avenue in Aradippou will begin operating from Tuesday as part of a wider road safety upgrade project in the area.

According to an announcement by the municipality, the installation of the new camera-controlled intersections is now in its final implementation stage and represents one of the most significant interventions in recent years aimed at improving road safety.

More intersections to follow

Authorities said that the camera-controlled junction at Ellados Avenue and the streets of Ivikou and Sergiou & Vakchou will become operational from Tuesday.

The municipality added that the traffic cameras at the intersections of Ellados Avenue with Georgiou Theotoka Street and Iakovou Patatsou Street are expected to begin operating in the coming days.

Final technical checks underway

Officials noted that the remaining intersections will be activated following the completion of final technical testing and adjustments.

The project forms part of broader efforts to enhance traffic management and improve safety conditions for motorists and pedestrians in the area.
