A road accident occurred on Wednesday afternoon on the motorway towards Ayia Napa near Oroklini.
According to the Cyprus Police, at around 15:00, a vehicle crashed into a warning sign at a location where roadworks are currently taking place.
Police said the collision resulted only in material damage, while the vehicle was later moved off the road.
Authorities also noted that the right lane remains closed in the area because of the ongoing roadworks.
Drivers travelling towards Ayia Napa are advised to exercise caution while passing through the affected section of the motorway.
