Yellow warning for strong winds

A new yellow warning has been issued by the Meteorological Service, alerting to very strong to gale-force wind affecting coastal areas.

Winds are expected to reach up to 8 Beaufort, creating hazardous conditions, particularly along the coast.

Warning in effect until midday

The yellow warning remains in force until 12:00, with authorities monitoring conditions closely as the weather system continues to impact the island.

Rough seas expected

The sea is forecast to be rough to very rough, increasing risks for coastal activities and marine traffic.

The yellow wind warning comes as part of ongoing unstable weather conditions, with officials urging the public to remain cautious, especially near the coast.
