Larnaca: 4 victims identified from horrific torture videos

Date:

Police continue their probe into videos revealing brutal torture of multiple individuals in a specially arranged room on the first floor of a casino in Pyla.

Victims identified and questioned

Authorities have already identified some victims, who have been called in to give statements. The Limassol CID (TAE) focuses on identifying all victims and securing their testimony.

“The investigation has identified several individuals being attacked in this location. Some have been identified, and efforts continue for the others. We expect to complete the investigation within the expected timeframe,” said Police spokesperson Christodoulos Konsolos.

Suspects in custody

Both the 48-year-old and 27-year-old men appearing in the videos as perpetrators of brutal assaults on at least seven individuals have been placed in eight-day custody. Investigators continue to examine their involvement and connections.

Extensive evidence under review

The material seized from the “torture room” exceeds 3,000 files and records. Authorities are reviewing the evidence to identify additional victims and possible perpetrators.

So far, four victims have been identified and questioned, and police have not ruled out further arrests as investigations continue.
